The Amazing Adventures of Jolly Jellybean and Chuy Chewing Gum

Tatum and Sophie had a crazy project that they had to work on over the Spring break.  It was a three parter that counts for 70% of their Science grade.

First they worked on a diorama of the human body using balloons.  I must say the did an amazing job.

==============================================
Then they worked on a song that teaches about the digestive system.  Heres the song sang to the tune of "Dradle, Dradle, Dradle"...

First you eat an apple,
You bite it with your mouth.
Your teeth are tools that you use to chew it all about.

Saliva's from your spit glands,
It washes food around.
It enters your esophagus to start it's journey down.

The muscles in your stomach,
They grind your food to mush.
With help from gastric juices to break everything up.

In your small intestine,
The food breaks down some more.
To absorb all the nutrients to help your body grow.

Next comes in your liver,
It filters harmful waste.
It stores vitamins and sugar to use for energy.

We're at the large intestine,
this is the final stop.
The waste we couldn't process will leave the body now.

Then the girls spent a good portion of the day storyboarding a childrens book about the digestive system.  Here's the final product:

I'm a Flyer Girl!

First season I was nominated "Flyer Girl!"  It seemed that every time we had an event on the show someone would approach me about making flyers and buttons for the event.  I loved it!  I hope I get the opportunity to do it again this season.  Here are some of the goodies from first season.

Amy actually wore this button to the opening of "Blades of Glory"

Frank's Fantasy

So this is a totally stupid manic dare.  One night I was on facebook with a little too much energy and I randomly posted something along the lines of "what should I draw next?".  This silly drawing somehow fit Frank's request.

The Robot is in a spaceship who's design is based on an angler fish.

The "enemy" is a robotic shark.

You can't make this kinda stuff up.

The Traveler

Digital - Adobe Illustrator.

I seem to be slightly obsessed with all things with tentacles right now.  Actually, I have been for a while now.  I still stare at a sketch of an octopus tattoo that I swear some day I will have on my wrist (probably not).

This little guy reminds me of Bibo the funny little creature whom I miss dearly.  It's hard to even find info on Bibo anymore, but here's his story for those of you  who don't know about him......

Bibo is a god monster with intelligence. He has two big eyes, and he knows very well what people want to do. He cannot speak, but only 'Bi-bo". When there is any danger happened, he will speak. The top of his head will light up and his hip will makes many colorful smoke to help him survive because this smoke is stinking. We love Bibo very much because he always survives by using some funny ways.

Here is the only Picture I could find of Bibo.  You can still check out other cool stuff at their website though:

James and the Giant Peach

So here's what happens when you have to much time on your hands.  The kids are supposed to do a simple report about the book they are reading in class "James and the Giant Peach".  They get extra credit if they can do art to accompany their report and parents are allowed to help.  OK, maybe I got carried away.

Paper mache and femo clay.

Tatum's Hawaiian Party Dress

Tatum was invited to go to a Hawaiian themed party.  I couldn't find anything for her to wear.  So we went to the local fabric store and picked out some funky material.  Kinda tropical with a lot a cool.  I made the dress and she made the matching bag.  I think we did pretty good.
